Calypso won't start.

Calypso 2015, offline seat. I was editing defaults for CAD models, saved, closed everything as normal.

Now when I try to open Calypso it hangs for a long time and eventually displays this.

If i try most things in this window, like telling something to proceed I get
"Fatal Error: cannot tenure object
Out of memory
Cancel to debug"

then it all freezes and must be killed with task manager.

This PC has 2018 and 2020 on that are working just fine.

Any ideas? or is this just going to be a situation where reinstalling will be easier than fixing whatever I broke?

It's worked for years, this PC also has version 4.0 that starts up just fine too. Windows compatibility with older software has improved since 10 first came out.

Stating the obvious but, it apparently didn't like the defaults you changed for the cad models but, you can't change them back because it won't start?
Have you tried using system restore to go back to before you made the changes?
Might or might not lose something done after the last restore date so, be careful.

I ended up finding that the environment config file was corrupt, should be around 40KB, it was 197 000KB.

Copied from another machine and it's working again, but it won't connect to my old machine tabs stylus databases.

"The database 'sdotcodata_DuraMax_141450' cannot be opened because it is version 869. This server supports version 655 and earlier. A downgrade path is not supported."

I'm thinking this may be related to the SQL server stuff I had to uninstall. going that route next

Edit: That was in, back in business now.
