[Ji...]
On older versions when adding MMC it would leave the actual number the same and give you what MMC you were allowed. On 7.0 it is changing my actual number. Is there something I can do to make 7.0 treat MMC the way it did in older versions? This is very confusing to our engineers and makes part look like they are spot on instead of showing what they are actually out and showing the MMC allowance. [Lo...]
I am having the same issue with 7.0 when adding MMC to a datum, the actual changes. Can anyone shed some light on this? It is a bit misleading when attempting to explain results to my machinists and Engineers. 🙄
[Ri...]
This is supposed to be this way. A material modifier on the datum IS NOT bonus tolerance. It creates a virtual boundary where the part is allowed to translate and/or rotate depending on the DRF buildup. It will take error away from the actual value (in theory). [Ji...]
Why has it never been this way in all of the older versions of Calypso? I am assuming that it only changes when on a Datum. Therefore we can do the feature that is the Datum again not as a Datum and get the answer we are looking for. This feature may be nice for checking incoming finished parts but it sucks for machining and engineering purposes.
