I understand that can larger diameter because contact is bigger. The measuring force is already lower. See you. Cylinder probes aren't as accurate because Calypso doesn't know where the probe is actually making contact, so it can't compensate as accurately as a sphere probe. Do you have the Curve addon? I would scan the "wave" as a curve and extract the highest point. Or if you don't have Curve you may be able to use a 2D line feature the same way.
