Scribed Line

We have a parallel scribed line on a part, that has various callouts, depth, angle, radii, etc. What is the best method for Calypso to satisfy these callouts?
Drawing attached.
Thank you in advance!!! 139_31d59d23be5b889a13ca192d9d463209.png

I am assuming that the print is metric.

That is going to be tough. I am spoiled by my O-Inspect for features like this. And even with the camera, this would probably be difficult.

Without a camera, I would try a self centering curve along each groove. But that is not deep, and you would probably need a 0.3mm ball to do it. I have never done that sort of scan with such a small ball. Depending on your sensor, it might not work at all, or you might shred probes.

Personally, I would do this optically, even if I needed to use a optical comparator. If your comparator doesn't have surface illumination, you can usually get away with a bright flashlight or two.

I've had to measure scribed and laser etched lines.
I use 0.3 or 0.5mm stylus, single points only - no scanning.
Very slow and low force.

Good luck
