Auto Selection of Probe Direction in RDS

Good Morning,

I'm not real familiar with the RDS system, available on some Zeiss machines. I know what it is and the benefits. What I'm specifically looking for, is how to set it up so the correct probe angle will automatically be selected once you extract a feature from the CAD model. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I don't think this will happen automatically, you will have to rotate the RDS to that particular angle and do the Qualification if you had not.

As Shabu said, it will not automatically set the angle for you. You can change the probe angles in the strategy of the feature, just type in the angle you want.

Alright, thank you guys. My boss thought maybe it had that function. I think he was confusing the RDS with PCDMIS' ability to auto select probe angles. Thanks again.
