Locking particular axes

We have the following controller

Is there a way to restrict translation along a particular axis? I'm thinking that the X, Y, and Z keys must be able to do this somehow.

The ol 26 box.

I think its shift and then the axis button(s) to the left of the "Slow Mode"..

Or just the axis button(s) alone. I cant remember lol. I have the 26e and been using it for a few years now.

Oops, the attached is for the new 26SE box, not the older one without the LCD screen. Thought I had a manual for it but, can't find it

Might be shift/return then the axis you want to lock.

The new 26e uses shift/return for certain functions

Just tossing out suggestions...

Weird, I've tried pressing the buttons and pressing the Shift/Return buttons at the same time and it doesn't seem to work.

I will check out my options in the stoplight, but ideally it'd be done at the controller.

Mike,

Thanks for pointing me to that. It does in fact work for me. The only problem is that the CZ Control Panel Extension window needs to remain open for the assigned function keys to do anything. Once you close the window, the function keys no longer do anything.

At least I know it is possible one way or another. I will do some digging to see if I can find a better way. I also work with a Sheffield CMM and there are buttons on the joystick that do this. It is much simpler.

Good.

I started out on a Sheffield 1808 back in 98. Retro fitted it with QC-5000. Even had a foot switch. Take a point hit the foot switch haha

The good ol days
