Defining Stylus System

That is telling you that the STAR probe is not listed as being in the rack. Make sure it is in the rack, then go to the "A" in the top menu bar, a new window will open, highlight the pocket the probe is in, then, in the center you will see a drop down menu that says changer, left click it, choose set stylus system to stylus system holder. Another window opens. Use the drop down menu to choose the star probe. It is now available for automatic stylus change. You may have to remove a stylus that isn't being used to make a space for the STAR. If your program uses all of your probes then you will have to change the STAR manually.

Hello CMM Community,
Something had happened when I was trying to change the Stylus system before a measurement with A=90 and B=-90, the Vast crashes with the Holder when B go to 0 degrees before change.
I avoid it but with CMM position on air, but not the right programming way.
Please, any recommendation.

Carlos,
You may need to define the rack location for the holder(s) in question. To do this, go to the CNC Stylus System Change window (Resources>Stylus system>Automatic stylus system change), select the holder that seems to cause a collision (it should turn green when selected), click Define Holder Location, and probe that holder's locator (tab that sticks out from the side) with the master probe.
If that doesn't work, make sure the approach parameters are suitable for the holder in question by selecting it in the CNC Stylus System Change window (it should turn green when selected) and clicking Approach Parameters from the drop down menu. Here you can set a high Z travel location that makes the CMM head go all the way to the top while moving to and from the rack. I do this to avoid unintentional crashes while changing stylus systems before, during, or after a measurement plan is running. This must be done for each holder individually.
