[Sa...]
Hello, I would like to find the min and max values of similar characteristics by part. i.e. one part we run has 6 similar #4 inner diameter characteristics, each have the same spec. Is it possible to find the overall min and max from the six from a specific part (S/N 55-1234) through piweb? If the six #4 characteristics return values like (.5853, .5860, .5855, .5853, .5831, .5859) I want a section that says #4 Inner diameter for S/N {55-1234} [min: .5831] [max: .5860] Instead of sorting through the data manually. [SH...]
You can do it in using min max characteristic..
[Sa...]
Please sign in to view this quote. The min max characteristic only returns min and max per characteristic, instead of a combination of all similar characteristics. Unless I have it mixed up, I don't believe this is the answer I seek. [La...]
Use a characteristic attribute to flag characteristics of certain types. I.e., Flange diameters, Flange Widths. Then use an inspection plan filter where characteristic flag = Flange diameter and apply that to your text box where you do your mathematical expression or calculation. [La...]
I re-read your original request, and it probably makes the most sense to use Minimum Result or Maximum Result under Size > More. Use group names to section off your characteristics in the StandardProtocol with a subtitle. You can Mark the individual characteristics OFF so that they don't report each diameter individually. With my original response, I think I misunderstood you. Thanks Laura
[Sa...]
Laura- That is exactly what we are doing now. Thank you.
