Revert Custom Reports to Past Version

Hello all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to revert a custom report from version 7.6.2.0 to version 6.8.7.0?

My company got a new license and dongle combo for me, unknowingly purchasing a version of piweb that is not compatible with the version we currently run.

For now, I am the only one who runs these reports, relaying the exported excel file to it's final destination (usually final inspection) but I would like to get a version of these reports in the lower version, so my CMM operators and QC engineers can use the reports from their desks in the future.

Not sure if it is a possibility, but I do know the people on this forum will find an answer if it exists..... @Laura J @ Tom O. 🤣 🤣

Anything helps! Even if its "this isn't possible"

Not sure if this is possible but have you tried un-installing the newer version of piweb and installing the earlier version?

By "custom report", I assume you're talking about a customize PiWeb report and not the old Custom Printout....

on the program that you want to print the original custom print out, go to the Measurement Tab, click on Multiple reports. at the top of the window, uncheck "Multiple reports active" Now Piweb is turned off. All the original Custom report features are active. Format, send to printer and so on will work. Should fix your situation. It stays active on that program only.

Tom-

Haven't tried that yet, I think our plan is to get everyone on the newest version eventually, but your solution would be a successful short term fix until we are really read to uprev our system. I'll run it by my boss and see what he thinks.

Speaking on the custom report: you are correct, a customized piweb report, the data bindings being all the necessary characteristics from a specific part number, made from scratch. That's the one reason I am hesitant to downrev myself, losing all the custom reports that are saved at the higher revision level, and having to rebind data to the master sheet for each part that I've done at the newer version (~30 reports). It would take some time, but it would achieve what I need.

Dave,
Thanks for the suggestion.
Would you be willing to share screenshots? I'm having difficulty replicating what you are describing with the given steps.
