[Am...]
Hey guys most of what I have learned about curve and freeform has been from just using it over the years but have never ran across any actual curve or freeform documents. Even the online academy does not seem to have any curve or freeform specific courses. There was some freeform material in the Profile advanced course and a little in the advanced alignment that I remember but thats I think the only time I've seen any formal training about it from Zeiss. I'm sure there is some useful things I do not know about that I haven't ran into yet and wondering if anyone haws any sort of documentation or resources that go in to curve and freeform. [Fr...]
Hi guys! Frank at ZEISS here....I noticed a question on training resource for Curve/Freeform and just wanted to take the opportunity to remind/introduce everyone about our Live-Online Classes. We have worked extremely hard in the past year to create a phenomenal online training platform that completely re-invents our "in-person" classes. At the moment, we are teaching Basic, Advanced, PiWeb, GD&T, Curve, and Freeform (and soon to be PCM)! The classes typically span throughout the entire week, and are a mix of live instruction and supplied exercises. We will send out all of the class materials to you, and all you need is a quiet spot with internet, and a working CMM. As Owen mentioned, you could certainly sign up for the waiting list or any of our non-filled, in-person classes. However, if you scroll past the waiting list, you will see both Curve and Freeform online classes being held next, in July and August respectively. These classes are denoted with a "Live-On-Line". To give you some peace of mind, many of us, Ryan Stauffer and I included, have worked together to create a VERY effective curriculum for these classes. They are not your "run of the mill" online training classes. You have our FULL instruction and attention all week to help you through the CUSTOM exercises, often with custom workpieces. No matter your skill level, all of these classes are incredibly beneficial as an introduction to the topic, or a simply a refresher with some new ideas. Look into the classes and please feel free to let me know if you have any questions on them! frank.congel@zeiss.comLiveOnlineTraining.pdf
