Hi,

I am looking for some recommendations on how to program the alignments for a part. We are running a new part and we are continuing to have kick outs and we believe this is do to the alignment. We manual checked the features and they are good but in the program the TP is out in the Z. I posted what I could without reveling to much. I created a line between b1 and b2, is this the correct/recommended way?

(this is a casting)

TIA

I don't know if it would make any difference, but i would take 2 plane points and use 3D line with recall ( not recall points ) instead od 2D line.

You should NEVER use a 2d Line for recall or recall feature points it will give you wrong answers.

GOOD RULE OF THUMB:
2D Line - ALWAYS Measured
3D Line - ALWAYS Theoretical (recall or recall feature points)
