Because good apps are programmed securelly, then i think that your CAD file has wrong file extension. Because noone is programming CAD file parser only because of extension.

So i think you have to save it as SAT.
But we don't have STP licence - only IGES so i don't know how it performs.

Judging by the name display in your first picture I would suspect that there's something wrong with your CAD file. Because that is not a legal file name, but contains parts of an internal data structure. To me it looks like there's something missing in the file (like a bracket or quotes), causing the CAD loader to misinterpret the file name and/or format.

I'm not sure whats happening because my coworker loaded the same exact file and it loaded in blue and not as a group in his calypso. He save it and I opened it on mine calypso and it showed grouped again.

You can open the file with a text editor like Notepad and read the header information to verify the source, type, and version of the file.

Are there different CAD import options installed/activated in your Calypso compared to your coworker's? (check active licenses!)
Are you both using the same Calypso versions?
The ACIS CAD core gets updated with every major Calypso release, so (much) older versions might not be able to load a new SAT file correctly. If that should turn out to be the cause of your problems, ask the provider of the file to save it as an older SAT version (V19 is usually a good choice). Many CAD programs provide a save option for this.
