[Pa...]
Hi All, I have a feature I need to know the position of in two different coordinate systems. One coordinate system is the base alignment, and I have created another for the second coordinate system (Alignment 2). I created a plane, recalled feature points to the existing feature (no-recalculate nominals), and set the Alignment to Alignment 2. When I do this however, the nominals are set to the relative position of the coordinate systems, not the distances of the feature in Alignment 2. I similarly tried "Recall 1 Feature", as this is the recommended use for the function, but when I set the alignment to alignment 2 it takes the measured values in the base alignment and sets them as the nominal values in Alignment 2, resulting in a feature significantly offset from where it is in actuality. Can someone advise what's going on here, or the correct way to obtain these results?
[Ri...]
Make sure you don't have "Keep Position" checked when changing alignments.
