What does the parameter "elastic part" of the stylus feature setting actually mean?

Hi All,

The parameter "elastic part" has several settings e.g. "off", "50 100", "100 200"...
I know the two numbers means the probing force each time (if this parameter was used, the probe would touch the objective position twice consecutively.).
But what is the mechanism of this function?
Take "50 100" as example, does it mean the software extrapolate the probing result at 0mN with the 1st touch 100mN and the 2nd touch 50mN?

Thanks.

To add to Norbert's post, just like when you tensor qualify a stylus. One point is taken with one force and then again with a greater force to determine how much the stylus is bending or flexing. Same thing with elastic part. Take 2 points with different forces to determine how much the material is moving or compressing.
