[Cl...]
After being entered, the speed variable changes on it's own. It should be .033, but keeps changing to .01320. Any idea what's happening here?
[Kl...]
It could be due to the fallback strategy in CALYPSO controller software. The controller of the KMG has a maximum data transfer rate [points/sec]. If the entered value exceeds the specification, the last sensible speed is sometimes used as the "default". This occurs in particular with rotary table scanning, since the scanning speed is entered here in [mm/sec], [inch/sec] ? But the maximim speed is limited by the rotation speed [revolutions/sec] (circumferential speed). Remedy: Check whether the combination of speed, number of points and step size is sufficient for the specification. See also data sheet CMM or contact local service, e.g. C99 [200/sec], other ??? [Cl...]
I re-booted Calypso and sure enough the speed went back to what it's supposed to be (.033)
