[Ri...]
I need to align the MCR20 holder along the X axis, it was along the Y axis. No matter what I set, it will not go past the the first two points (P1 and P2) with prompting "The MCR20 orientated exactly, correct the orientation!" From this point I can cancel or continue. If I continue it repeats P1 and P2 and prompts the same error. Calypso help is no help. Renishaw help is no help. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. [Da...]
The MCR20 has to be aligned exactly (within .025 mm) along the axis or it will give an alarm. I would take a point at p1 and another at p6 and see what the difference in Y is. You can then know which way to move the rack. If it is perfectly aligned then I haven't any idea why it is not working.
[Ri...]
The MCR20 is not moving, the software doesn't seem to be allowing me to define where it is.
[Da...]
Perhaps I misunderstood you. Your post said that you were moving the rack from the Y axis to the X axis, my suggestion was to verify that it is straight along the X axis. The alarm is saying that it is not within the .025mm limit on the axis.
[Ri...]
You did not misunderstand. I did not realize the P1 and P2 points I took manually were automatically attributed to the Base Alignment of my opened program. The MCR20 more than likely utilizes the CMM System alignment. Since my Base Alignment was not perfectly aligned with the CMM System, when I believed I was aligned, I was still out of alignment. Thanks to those who contributed. Now that its setup, the MCR20 is doing something weird. There are 6 Stylus slots, labeled 1 thru 6. I cant use slot 3. The slots are automatically generated by Calypso, I don't seem to have any control of that. 1 = 1 2 = 2 3 = Nothing 4 = 5 5 = 6 6 = Non existing slot, probe change routine attempts to drop off stylus in the air. As if there was a slot 7. Once again, any assistance is appreciated.
[Da...]
I had the same thing happen once. Luckily the Zeiss tech was still here, we re-did the alignment 5 times and still got the same thing. He switched out the stylus with one of the others and it started working. Don't know why.
