[Bl...]
Wondering if anyone knows how to view Measurement Plan Features as an Operator without Changing the Measurement Plan. After opening a few features to verify the plan it will not allow the Operator user to run the plan because it says it's been modified. Anyone know how to undo this modification without closing and reopening the whole program?
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Why don't you want to close and re-open the program? I don't know if this will work but you can give it a try. There are settings in the User area that can be selected to prevent a user from changing a program written by another user, as well as, saving a program written by others. You might have to log in as Master, but try doing it with the current settings. Go to Extras > Settings > User. Click the Privileges tab at right. Select the "Operator" tab at the bottom. Then, tick the Save and Execute options. Click Apply and Ok.
[Am...]
The only way I know to get around this is to change the privileges so that the user has the ability to change programs but not save any changes. It is frustrating because it counts it a change even if the characteristic is opened and looked at.
[Ri...]
My question would be why do you even want them going through the measurement plan in the first place? If they are restricted from making, and executing any changes then obviously you don't want them to have admin access to the measurement plan. Also, this is where AutoRun is supreme. [Mi...]
I have this issue and asked about a work around. The privileges do not have a option to view features, without considering this to be a modification of the program. Which I have the same frustration as Amel P. My scenario is, I do not want the programs to be modified, but I do want my Inspectors to be able to view the features and communicate with machinist of offsets, especially on positions. To show the machinist in features, gives them a quick visual view of points. Since a program may show a part to be out in +X, there machine offset may be required in -Y or other. Not going through the measurement plan would be understandable as a CMM operator. But as Inspector or engineer, using the feature view as a quick communication tool has helped in confusion. If you allow privilege to change the program, the program can be ran modified, which I do not want. I know I can create tags pointing to features giving X, Y, Z values, but if there is a work around to just view from the features, I would be interested.
