Is there is any option to control the default speed, at the moment I have it 300mm per second. I want to maintain it 20mm per second.

Reason- l have to work with 1mm probe and 0.5mm lot of time , when I create a new program , during dry run I forget about speed, sometime probe hit with job and cause probe broken. So my default speed is slow I can save lot of probes 🙂 🙂

You can go to Resources\ Feature settings editor\ (Use drop down menu) Travel\ Speed. You can set the desired speed for each feature or for the entire program.

Please understand, iam asking about default option without individual setting in each time. During my two and half years experience in calypso I already broken six probes only because of my short term memory loss 😂😂

You can go to measurement plan editor features/travel/speed and change the speed to 20mm per second. If you do that and leave your speed on the run screen to 200 it will move at 20mm per sec once inside the clearance cube at the clearance distance if you have it at anything other than 0.000. If you have a clearance distance of zero after a stylus system change it will rapid in X and Y but the 20mm per sec will start then and the Z with move really slow.

You could probably do it if you created a template program. There is an option under Plan > Preassign Start Values. Here you can set it up to whatever settings you want to use. Unfortunately, since you can't remember to turn down the speed, I'm guessing you won't remember to use the template program when you start a new program. 🤣

What probing dynamic are you using for you less than 1mm probes?

I use 50% for 0.5mm to 0.8mm and for 0.3mm stylus I use 5% if I only have 1 or 2, but if I have a good supply I use 30%.

I agree with the creating a templet idea. You will find it beneficial for many other things too. I found myself going through a list of things to set and creating reports every time I created a program so I just made a template program.
