6x108 probe hits mast when changing index

I have a 2018 Contura with RDS XXT head. When I change probes from my rack that is on the back left of my machine the head indexes and runs into the probe into mast (or at least drags it along the mast) when I have my 6x108 probe on. Is there a global pathing setting I can use to prevent this?

You'll have to be very careful and test it out, I recommend turning the feed rate to very slow, but in the CNC stylus system change window where it shows your probe rack & probes, if you click the drop down in the middle of the window, there are approach parameters you can adjust. I have a 160mm probe and I believe I set it to 300mm before and after change in the Y+ direction. I'll post pictures soon.

***Make sure you click on the probe in the rack change window that you want to adjust, the approach parameters will only affect that stylus system***

Jamie when you say mast, are you talking about the sides of the bridge? Or the mast of the probe rack? If is it the probe rack, do as suggested above. If it's the side of the machine...I'm following this because I have done this more than once. The head doesn't realize that it's going to hit the side of the machine when indexing.

If it is the bridge, I would think the Outer Clearance Planes are not set correctly.

I was editing someone elses program and they had set the Z- OCP below the granite for some reason. RDS indexed right into the granite as soon as it cleared Y+.
