[SH...]
I have no idea, how to measure this runout inside the red mark. Datums are casting surface and complicated datum target....IMG_20210224_204347.jpg
[Da...]
What geometry are A1 to A3? Planes? Almost certainly there is something wrong with this runout callout.
[SH...]
Three planes, one datum target on each plane.
[Mi...]
Radial runout, to two parallel planes? Definitely get in touch with the customer.
[Er...]
So datum targets for -A- and -B- are cast surfaces. Gee wiz. This is nuts. Is there a hard fixture? It may give insight to what the customer wants. From what i can see... -A- would constrain YZ -B- would constrain X and spatial The Dim 30 hole from -A- constrains planar? -A- would almost have to be made from 3 lines with the points recalled into a maximum inscribed circle. Without a cross section of -B- it's hard to make out what it is. Educated guess says this is a hub for a fan blade. Balance would be important. Good luck. [Ja...]
Use your |A| datum targets to create a theoretical plane and your |B| targets to create a circle. Level to |A| and originate from |B| (no planar / clocking.) Now, report your runout to that alignment. Runout, in this case, is controlling the orientation of the surface to |A|. [Ke...]
Are you using the datum targets for your base alignment? If so, you may want to use something that is more robust.
[Te...]
If the Datum Targets for -B- are holes (tough to see in the picture but makes sense for the callout), you measure the three diameters and create a circle from the three holes for Datum B (use recall). If you are using any version of Calypso that is not 2020 you will have to Construct / Perpendicular and pick Datum B and then Datum A and use that to evaluate runout to A and B, because before 2020 only 1 datum feature is allowed for runout.
