Changing Probing Systems to RC-CAA

Is there anyway to change a stylus system that was created from a "normal" head to change it to an RC-CAA system? I want to use a couple angles and not qualify them as probes, but can't.

Now I know that a qualified angle is more accurate, but I can have up to .002 worth of tolerance, a football field I know huh? 🤣

You have to choose 1 method or the other. However, you can set up 1 stylus system both ways. For example, when I want to have a stylus system with individual styli and different angles, I name my stylus system 3.0x50. When I want to use it as an RDS-CAA stylus system, I name it 3.0x50 CAA. One physical stylus system with two different identities. NOTE: this will not work if you have Stylus ID active.

If you want to get fancy, you can add a new probe rack at the same location. Then, assign the 3.0x50 in one rack and 3.0x50 CAA in the copied rack. So when you call for one probe, it will put the current one away and then pick it back up as the other. Use this technique with caution.

Oh Tom,
You always like to do fancy things, don't you? I sure do miss your class! Thank you though, that answered my question perfectly. The system they have set up here, is all non-rca so I'll just create a prove for RCA on it, and then I'll disable the ID.

Thanks again for your help!

Question though for the copied rack, how would I set that up? Do I have to locate the rack like I normally would? And if so, would the machine go, drop the probe off, and then pick it back up again?
