Position vs Position (M)

Recommended Posts

As shown in the attached photo, we get a Position5 and a Position5 (M) reported out.
The customer has requested only the actual position.
They do not care about a "Bonus" if this is what the MMC calculation is.
If Position5 is the actual position of the diameter then we would like to report without the MMC calculation.
If the Position5 (M) is the actual position, then we need to remove the Position5.

For the .(M) edit your StandardProtocol doing the following:

- Open your StandardProtocol for editing
- Click on Page structure on the left hand side
- Expand Main area
- Select Protocol
- With Protocol selected click on Data provider on the left hand side
- In the Name area at the top, enter {^((?!\.\(M\)).)*$}
- Click the blue arrow to the right
- Click on Only transfer name filter

That should remove it for you.

The (M) is the percentage of the tolerance used, including bonus. SPC does not work well with variable tolerance so it is converted to a percentage. I'm guessing your position tolerance is .1 and the .1101 is the tolerance plus the bonus from MMC. If I am not mistake.....
