CAD Model transformation!

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering when I do a CAD model transformation. When I try to use translation I end losing the drawing and the axis arrows. And whats the best method for rotating a part with CAD model transformation translation or rotation?

Thanks,
Lou

I don't know why you would be losing the (drawing?), do you mean model? If you want to move the entire model along any axis, then translate. If you need it to be flipped to face in a different axis then rotation. Where/how are you getting your translation values?

In this example I want to rotate about the Z axis 180 deg. Putting my part to face -X

CAD>MODIFY CAD

Click on All Features Visible, that should make your model & Trihedron pop back up. Its not that uncommon for models or individual surfaces to disappear.
If not, click on Hierarchy tab and see if your cad model is still there or has been dumped.
If this continues to happen call Zeiss and see if there are any bug fixes for you particular version & release.

It is possible that Calypso is glitching and making the model disappear when you move it, but lets make sure.

Try it again, and when you model disappears click on the "Display all CAD features in CAD view" button. If your model is still there, then this button with put it in your view.

Ok, Thanks everyone. Not sure what was going on but it seems to be working now........ I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch. But I think I am on the verge of actually programming from a CAD model correctly!!!!! 🤣 😃 🤣 😃 🤣 😃 🤣 😃
