[Ro...]
So as i stated previous i have a new computer recently so me & my boss dont have to sit on each others laps or share a hot chair. Calypso & the dongle went over with me and everything transitioned over pretty easy, but i just noticed that Planner Simulation is not activated, just greyed out. My company IT guy doesnt know how to activate it without going to his deep resources, so i thought id save him some unnecessary reading and just find it out here. How do i turn planner on? i already paid for it, i just need it turned on.
[La...]
Do you have the license activated? Go to Extras > Settings > Miscellaneous > Licenses. Is it checkmarked?
[Ro...]
Thank you Laura, that did the trick! I had a feeling it would be an easy fix.654321.JPG
[CA...]
Hello!!! We have in our installation, under System Setting: CMM Configuration the TABs ConturaG2RDS and Simulation Of course the ConturaG2RDS is the physical machine, but the questions: Is it possible to active the Simulation system on the dedicated Computer? Is the License for Planner necessary on the dedicated Computer? Pict002.jpg
[Ro...]
You should be able to go into simulation mode just by going into EXTRAS>SETTINGS>CMM and clicking on the Simulation only box, and then hitting connect. machine will go into simulation mode. simulation is different than planner, planner gives you the probe object display and cad featured you are used to seeing. Running in sim doesn't give you the presentation of a running program. BE CAREFUL....... The problem with running your cmm computer in sim is that if there is a probe change in sim, your cmm will think is actually has the last probe used in your program in its hand, and when you bring it out of sim it will still think it has that probe in hand. You need to check the active probe and do the manual hand load process before running live to tell the machine what probe it is holding.
[CA...]
Hello Roberto, I followed your instruction, but after connection, this message "Question" was really terrorific! I only remember with the Planner, version trial 90 days duration in different PC, that was necessary to create virtual probes and other adjustments, but now, with the real machine!!! Oh!! What to do? Thank for your Help!
[Ro...]
Ooh how strange. My suggestion would NEVER be to click yes on "Delete all probe data on this machine". Maybe make sure all the data is the same on your Contura (or whatever machine system you are running) and Simulation tabs. Make the data in the simulation the same as the data in the machine, maybe when putting your computer in sim its also trying to change the XT to XXT or vise versa. But don't delete your probe data, ever. This might be a good time to create a backup image of your current system if you haven't done so in the past couple months, or ever. go to EXTRAS>SETTINGS>MISCELLANEOUS>MAINTENANCE and click on save and follow the prompts, it'll backup your system including probe files and all the settings you use.jkjkjkjksfdjkdsfjksdjhkfs.JPG
