Just to update on my situation, today marks 2 weeks we've been down. We finally got a Zeiss technician in here yesterday and he did everything he could do and the machine is still erroring out. There were a few things that didn't necessarily cause the issue but were working against us. The CMM itself was not level and this was causing a lot of stress as the machine tried to travel in the -Y direction as it was going uphill. Also, the tech found trace amounts of oil in our air lines (it wasn't a lot, but it's enough that he had to blow it out of the lines). He also re-set the drives and tried a few other tricks with his software, but in the end, nothing seemed to help the issue.

We're now to the point of replacing the RDS and/or the RDS adapter plate. The good news is our old XXT might not actually be bad (which is good because we're going to need that $ to go towards the new RDS/adapter plate that we're waiting on now 🤣 ).

The technician is here waiting for the part to arrive that was supposed to be shipped next day early am.

Hopefully this is resolved very soon... I see a lot of OT in my future 🤣

Another update to this issue... The RDS and the XXT were both fine, however the RDS Adapter Plate was shot. Once we replaced that and re-calibrated all of our styli, the CMM is functioning great.
