I've been trying for some time now and the best I can do is produce a text file of points. Is there any way to create a dxf file from nominal points of a 2d curve i created on a cad model?

Richard,
Thank you for quick response, and is the best way to produce an ASCII text file by going to Resources-> Results to File-> Type 1 (nominal)? Where does it dump this file then?

Use the text file to recall the points back into the curve (Recall Points >> From File). The curve will now see “actuals” and you’ll be able to export them to DXF format.

Richard,

It will not work the way you’ve shown. You have to create the text file of points first, then recall the file back into the feature (or a copy) using Recall Points >> From File. Then you can export to DXF.

Ah yes - thank you for the clarification. That's because what I didn't didn't have any actuals. You could go into Simulation, to generate perfect actuals, and then it would work.

I have attached the corrected gif.

Yup, that'll work as well. You'd just want to make sure the measuring strategy is ideal so that false deviations are not generated, even with dispersion turned off.
