[Ri...]
I remember someone had once posted the extremely complex formulas for calculating Datum Shift (especially with multiple Datums). Does anyone remember this, and have access to it? I cannot seem to find it.
[Jo...]
All I can hear is"datum shift is not bonus" lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMiNzKPVnhU Calypso will calculate if everything is in the same plane ? I don't have many prints that utilize it. I wonder if there is a way to simulate it by using the features as a pattern and reporting the profile of the Datum back to them as a Pass/Fail ? [Ri...]
Very true, it is not bonus tolerance. There was someone on the forum who had posted the math, and it was intense (if I'm remember correctly). I just cannot seem to locate it. I'm not certain - would be nice to have a long discussion with advanced CMM users, and GD&T gurus to either figure out a solid workaround or put the pressure on Zeiss.
