[Ow...]
It was just a hunch and you're right, it probably would error out if they were. I've actually had this happen before where it doesn't compensate for probe radius every time but, it's been a long while and I don't remember what the fix was. Not that it would matter but, is the curve open or closed? I'd try recreating it as sometimes an algorithm gets some fuzz on it or something. [Ia...]
It's an open curve.
[Ma...]
Do you have tight search distance for point assembly? Usually radius of tip + tolerance. If it's close, then other measured points can be badly assigned to another point. At least some of them can be.
[Ia...]
I have been using the default for max search distance. If I try to reduce that to probe radius + tolerance, it skips over some peaks completely.
[Ma...]
Well then you can recreate curve again - maybe it will help. Or you can try to evaluate it as Act -> Norm ( usually it is set up as Nom. vector direction ). I had similar nonsence - in attch. Unfortunately i don't know exactly how it works. My curves are on cylinders.
[Ia...]
Ok, I just tried switching to Act->Nom, and there was no change. I'll try re-writing the program and see what I get.
[Ia...]
Ok, I tried re-writing the program, and am getting the same error. There must be a defect in the software.
