Running On-Line seat in simulation mode

Is there a way to slow down the "show Probing object" speed in the program or system settings when using Simulation Mode on a On-Line seat?

I would like to see the actual movement of the Probing object when I simulate a feature being ran. This instant movement which seems to be a default, you just cant tell whats going on.

You can change the speed I know Ive done it but its kind of useless because its just a slider and you are still just selecting a random speed it seems. I'll try to look for where it is exactly. What I ended up doing was timing one of my programs in real time then comparing it to how fast the simulation did that same program and I used that ratio for any programs I wanted to see, I was working on going through some of the most time intensive programs and trying to see if I could make them more efficient and needed a number for management on how much I was able to improve the runtime, this worked well enough for me and I decided to report the changes in a percentage just incase the time was still off.

Also if you are doing this by hitting run in your offline seat this will always be instant as far as I know, to do a simulation go up to the planner tab>stylus system simulation and you can get that window I had there to simulate running a part.

I believe that is an option if you have a "Planner" license.
I'm using an On-line seat and setting the CMM Configuration to "Simulation only (Off-line)".

Seems you get ZERO bells and whistles using this method. 🙄 🤠

I did not realize that was a separate license, they really have everything in Calypso behind a separate license at this point. Even the free eLearning they used to have on here are gone and only have the pay walled videos now. Its honestly ridiculous, each CAD model file type is a separate license even.

Depends on whether there even is a speed parameter. I think they are just different program functions. The probing object was never meant to move with variable speed.
The "speed" setting in Planner does not directly control speed, but more the resolution of collision detection. Finer resolution detects more collisions but also needs more time for checks and rendering, resulting in less speed. To make that available in basic simulation mode would mean to open part of the Planner option to everyone. And that would indeed affect their profits (from their point of view).
