[Cl...]
There is a 3 - 5 second lag from feature to feature measurement. The same program on a different Contura has no lag?

[Cl...]
Well, the PC I guess? Program path is the local (C:) drive.
[Ch...]
That's weird because I see the exact same thing when my network is running slow. Bogged down computer?
[Th...]
Feature actuals being saved to a network location? Programs on a slow internal network shouldn't be a problem by themselves, since I think Calypso loads the whole thing into local memory, but if your paths are set to a slow remote drive, then I would expect Calypso to hang between features as it waits for the actuals to write. [Cl...]
Everything is identical on both Conturas. The should both run the same.
[Ch...]
Look at you "windows performance monitor"(or one of many 3rd party programs that can track the performance) and see if one computer is working a lot harder than the other. That being said, I would be very surprised that is the problem since. To me, if everything is stored locally then I think it would load the actuals file quickly. Even on a dumpy computer. [Ma...]
You can look for HDD condition. Does it appears in other programs? Theoreticaly it can be soft issues ( .NET framework, ... )
[Er...]
Hum, intresting, could you pleace elaborate on how the the .Net framework could slow things down. Ok, if its during an background optimization, sure. But that should not take more then a couple of minutes. Reg entries from the framework is in the whole picture considered insignificant. And would not make an noticable difference. Its generally speaking a bunch of generic code libs that developers can use, instead of develop thier own, and if everyone would develop them self, you would end up with multiple libraries doing the same thing. I just cant see how the frame work it self can cause your performance issues. If a software makes poor use of dlls, then its not the framework fault. Or have I overlooked something? (Yes, this is a real question) I just generally blame windows 10 if things are slow. It was released in a state that others would call a beta. It sucks in my opinion. Another stupid question, but have you rebooted? And have one of the computer recived the infamous Microsoft update, while the other have not? [Ma...]
I did not mented to blame .NET fw itself but jiggled instalation, perhaps system corrupted 😱
[Je...]
I've had this happen a few times. Not sure of the cause but a full PC and machine reboot fixes the problem. I've also had it act very funny after a static shock hits the control panel (jump from operator to joysticks). The whole machine will act sluggish during navigation between features like you are saying, beeps will sound strange and it will some times lose probe beeping altogether. Control panel will some times show strange coordinate readouts when this is going on. I did find that turning off "scanning optimization for passive sensors" (running RDS XXT) in the compatibility settings made the problem much less apparent and frequent.
