Change characteristic "type"

On the characteristic txt printout, there is a column labeled "Type" that gives a label for each characteristic (Diameter, Roundness, X Value, True Position 2d Polar). Is there a way to change these, for example instead of "Roundness" I want it to report "Circularity"?

Ideally looking for a way to have it change in only that specific program, instead of changing a global setting. I'm thinking this would have to be done in PCM, but I can't think of a way to make it as a template that can be shared across multiple programs.
