[Ja...]
I'm in another Calypso pickle here. I have a part that needs to be restrained on a fixture, and I have a program that'll measure everything I need already together. However, I cannot find a way to get Calypso not to remeasure the fixture when i'm loading additional parts. Currently my program is set up like this. I do a manual base alignment on the fixture, then the machine goes back and measures the ABC datum structure alignment on the fixture with a loop. All my characteristics and features on the part reference the ABC datum structure on the fixture. At this point I load the part, and run out the program. I'd like to be able to load additional parts with only measuring the features on the part, and not remeasuring anything on the fixture, while still referencing the datum structure from the fixture. Everything I try is requiring a measurement to be repeated on the fixture each time. Any advice?
[Ma...]
When you are setting up base alignment on measuring program you don't create a new one but you load saved one. Prepare new program for measure fixture first.
[Da...]
After you run your first part, you can just use current alignment as long as your fixture doesn't move.
[Ja...]
I think what Martin posted is what I needed. I'm in the process of removing some of the dependencies on the split fixture program, but this seems to be working. Thanks.
