[Da...]
Is it possible in Calypso to add a probe and have it virtually qualified? The goal is to be able to use a probe without a stylus (it will have a hall sensor instead) but I won't be able to do the usual qualification with the reference sphere. Is there a way to trick Calypso into thinking that I'm using a qualified probe?

[Da...]
It will be for mapping the magnetic field of an electromagnet
[SH...]
Just calibrate a probe, then remove it and fix your sensor. It is as simple as like this. Calypso don't know it is a sensor until you use it for inspection. You can't calibrate it virtually...
[Ro...]
try this, i am not able to test this on my CMM but it might work. Create a probe and make it the same length as your sensor. give it a diameter and everything. go to Extras>Settings>CMM and click the button for Simulation only. Simulate picking up the probe that you want to qualify Open the Probing system qualification box and click on the Ball & Caliper icon and Calypso 'Should" go thru a simulated qualification of the probe. take Calypso back out of Simulation and you should be good. MOST IMPORTANT STEP...... MAKE SURE WHATEVER PROBE IS PHYSICALLY IN THE HEAD IS THE PROBE THAT CALYPSO THINKS IS IN THE HEAD. IF THEY ARE NOT THE SAME USE MANUAL PROBE CHANGE TO LET CALYPSO KNOW WHAT PROBE IT HAS IN ITS HAND. IF NOT, DISASTER IS IMMINENT.jhkghfghfghd.JPGFGHFGJHFGJHFG.JPG
