XTR Head Orientation Error!

Recommended Posts

Afternoon Guys!

Has anyone had any errors with an XTR Orientating the wrong index into a pocket?
Currently having this error at least once a week on each of our Primso Navigators, noted this happens 90% of the time calibrating through FACS.

Each time this occurs we re-upload the PCF file as a short term fix.

Any ideas?

Regards

Make sure the gold contacts are nice and clean. You may also need to re-teach the ID on it. On the XTR it will index it through all positions.

The XTR holder has 5 styli, which is then orientated multiple angles for the complex part, but instead of orientating to 0 degree before going into holder it will stay in the same orientation of the last probing direction.

The contacts either side of the plate do no engage in to holder which causes CMM in Crash an lose Drives.

works 99% but at least once a week fails. 😮

What do you mean by ID? our practice so far is to re-upload PCF and calibrate probe.
We do keep on top of contacts, do you use anything in particular to clean the connections?

Thanks

It will then prompt you about needing to rotate to all positions.
