[Da...]
Hey, I hope no one gets upset with me here on this, but I am looking for some advice. We are in the planning stages of possibly replacing one our 'non-Zeiss' cmms here in the United States. What I am looking for is something like an optical CMM with at least similar capabilities as the one we may replace. It's getting old, and not getting much software support, and even the software updates I am able to get to are taking abilities away. Anyway, I would like some ideas for machines that would be portable within our facility that could be taking measurements on some 'large' chassis. I would also like to perform some motion tracking with this as well. The ability to move around a little without having to perform a 'leap frog' operation would also be a big plus. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

[Er...]
You need a 3d-scanner from GOM. Iv'e had one since 2011, awsome complement to a CMM.
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. We are looking looking into GOM as well. Exporting data to Pi-Web is a possibility with GOM software aswell. And I believe the integration between Zeiss'software and GOM will only get better as Zeiss Group has bought GOM. GOM Inspect is looking like a really good software and also comes with a autorun like interface. I am a really exited about it and I hope that GOM hardware will be a part of our quality control in in 2021. Moving GOM shouldn't be an issue.
