Customer program

Running a customer supplied program. No filters or outliers, no evaluation
for size. I wonder how much better the results might be if these things had
been done. I get really frustrated when I see this.

If it is an LSQ evaluation you won't see huge differences - unless you have extremely tight tolerances.

The largest impacts are form tolerances, and functional size evaluations.

One guy I spoke to suggested not adding evaluations and outliers on the feature side but to add them as needed on the characteristics side. I add them as I'm writing on the feature side. That's just how I roll. The thing I hate the most is when I look at a program someone else wrote and see that they didn't correct the nominals, that ticks me off.

This is the way that it is taught now. I do everything from the features side, but that's just the way I program. Neither is right or wrong.

I only add filters on feature side if I use it in alignment or constructions. Don't need any garbage in there.
