[Ro...]
Does anybody have one of these, if so Could I call you with some questions. Or do you have a tech. support phone number, I can call. I was asked to assemble a zeiss comet. I have it put together with a rotary table. Both manuals are in Japanese,(we have an english one on order) My question is on how to calibrate it. I cannot find the manual for this. I found some information on the internet which says there should be two icons on desktop, one for calibration and one for checking when the last calibration was and if it was OK. Neither of the icons are showing up on desktop. We have the 6.0 version of colin 3D software. Also I cannot get the rotary table to move when scanning. It also states there should be two check off boxes, one for scan with rotary table or one for scan without rotary table, we do not have the one for scan with rotary table. I don't know too much about this equipment. If somebody has the manual for calibration, could you send me a clip of it. Thanks in advance
[Ri...]
It sounds like you need some formal training on the system. 3d scanning isn't something you can just jump into. The calibration is done inside of Colin3d. When you start a new project you will have two icons that you can choose from. One is to perform a calibration, and the other is to verify the calibration. Regarding the RT - you have to select which type of scan you want to perform, a manual scan or one with the RT (they are two separate icons). If you select the RT - you have to select how many rotations you want. It is only a positioning system, it doesn't scan while rotating. There is a lot that one could cover regarding this system and software, but that would take time. A crash course is just going to make you more dangerous because you wouldn't be able to cover enough.
