[Da...]
No model. the question mark has a +/-.001" tolerance. we'll use 14 degrees for the basic angle. as a bonus the ID chamfer is a 45 .01 x .01 how would you get that ? [Ri...]
Why.... Just why.... Why do people have to make things so complicated. It's a Cone... give me the diameter, angle and where it intersects with Datum A. [Ri...]
If you intersected the cone with the bottom face, then traced a line on the cone, and then created a perpendicular between the two, would that not be what you are looking for? Hard to check work without the nominals of what I'm looking for. [Da...]
That'll work ! I was less elegant. I created a 3d line from the Id cylinder and intersected with the cone shell. Used a bit of trig to fix the Z axis measurement to a perp meas in results element. We also had our Eng. give us a gage point on the surface of the cone... The numbers varied slightly due to the actual angle varied a bit from nominal. The print is projecting a LONG ways to the measurement. I totally agree WHY !!! 🤣 Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/14454-another-quothowd-you-check-it-quot/#findComment-75830 Share on other sites
[Ma...]
the practice is much easier here than the theory. great. Link to comment https://qualityforum.zeiss.com/topic/14454-another-quothowd-you-check-it-quot/#findComment-75832 Share on other sites
