[Me...]
For the life of me I can't remember how to achieve the tangent line to get the 30 degree dimension... Can someone refresh my memory? Please & Thank You!
[SH...]
Using the curve take the maximum point then created 3D line from Centre to that point ,same for the other point.
[Me...]
Thanks man! Worked perfect!
[Ja...]
If you create a circle on the center of the part, and a circle on the end of the slot, you can use "construct - Tangents".

I think better use small section of points to create circle, then tangent. Bigger angle will increase deviation.

I can't break in right now to proof this, but pretty sure it even works with a point in the center, and use a circle from slot end. IDK if they need to lie in same plane for the calculation. [Ma...]
I would try to create circle from end of curve of slot, then create theoretical point with coords to center point. Then construct tangent point<->circle from slot. Same for oposite side of same slot, then you can measure angle. Theoretical point can be also recalled from element which defines center point. [Me...]
Please sign in to view this quote. There was a difference using the maximum point compared to the tangent point, I think the tangent point/line creation might be more accurate. I got a difference of 0.3°... 28.7 with the max/min point for curve & 30.01 with the tangent line creation.
[Me...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Nope. Please sign in to view this quote. Yep. You could use maximum/minimum point to greater accuracy if you created 15 degree alignments to match the basic angle and got the max/min from that. [He...]
I do it like that! Measure the circle and use the formula to calculate the theoretical point. Then a plumb line to the center.
