I work on CMM with RT and I showed measuring only with RT in GEAR. I can measure worm (pith, profile...) in Calypso without RT, but l don't know how I can do it in GEAR? [Ro...] Posted September 17, 2020 Share Posted September 17, 2020 Ok, I thought a real picture 😉 However, you´ll require a 4-star stylus system (maybe 2 stylus can be enough but I would start with 4), see screenshot 1. After that you have to select "automatic stylus selection", see screenshot 2. The rest should be automatically calculated by GEAR PRO worm itself. You can also try to do a simulation first that you get an impression how the CMM will move. The big disadvantage of the measuring method without RT is, that you have a lot of stylus changes on the flank while the lead measurement. So the consequence can be, that with any single sphere mid point difference of the 4 styli you´ll see a "jump" in the lead evaluation, if you will get this, you have to re-qualify your stylus system againg, see screenshot 3.
