Measuring flatness on a round surface

Hey guys,

So I'm trying to measure flatness on one of the surfaces on a shaft. I'm using the loop characteristic to do it, which seems to be working, but i when I print the report, instead of giving me a single flatness value, it gives me 48 of them (that's the number I used to make a full 360 sweep of the surface, but just for trial and error, I currently have it set to 3).

The highlighted surface is the one I'm looking to get a flatness measurement on.

Any ideas?

I don't think that will work as a loop. It looks like you're trying to skip the holes? It might be that you have to copy the stratagy and then paste, but then change the start angle.

Exactly. I am looking to bypass the .06 reamed holes. So I copy the flatness characteristic multiple times to make a full 360? How do I make the flatness show up on the report as a single feature instead of it showing up on multiple lines?

I will try that.

Now that I think about it, I can use two circle patterns and just have one of them go over the reamed holes, while using the fly scanning, to ignore them? Am I understand it correctly?
