Compound Datums / Dash Datums

Hello,

How would I create a compound datum/dash datum in calypso? I measured both diameters as cylinders and created a "3d line" that runs through both centers. The problem with that is that it won't let me do MMC on that 3d line when I use it as a datum.
I tried using "parallel cylinders" which did let me do MMC but the software crashes when I use "parallel cylinders"

Thank You,

Creating a line between datum A and datum B and using that as a datum will not be correct. Use a step cylinder as datum since you have plenty of surface at the datums to work with.

But Eric is right. MMC is used for measured element but not for datums, which in 3dline can not be used. But i didn't see step cylinder. It exists? I'll have to look

I created a step cylinder and used recall feature points, picked Datum B and datum D, to create my B-D Datum. I am now able to apply MMC on that B-D datum.
Thanks a lot! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
