I sat next to a guy at training who told me that his company only has two CMM programs(both written by a third party) that they run. Both are pallet programs and he told me that both programs are nearly 12 hours long. Once a day he switches programs and swaps the parts out. He's done this for nearly ten years.

That's his job. That's it.

If that were me, I'd be banging my head against the wall like that chick in the movie Birdbox.

What are you trying to say? "Lovely only for New Zealand". So money is only for rich people then? Ever been to Britain?

There isn't any loops at all, except for the base alignment. Not a whole lot of pcm either. Just some to measure patterns in a more effective order and some math.
It's an turbine bearing house with 100% inspection requirement. Old aero part with origin from Rolls Royce.

But I would like to know what's up for everyone else. So I have something to read and pass time 🙂

I was talking about coronavirus, New Zealand is the first country in the world free from coronavirus. In my country coronavirus is flexing its muscle.

Ahhh, I completely miss understood you. Sorry.
Yeah, they seem to have done everything correct.

You must be one lazy person to with stand that job.

It looks like an interesting part. Is it made from a casting or welded assembly?

My longest program is around 15 h but that is a boring one. Just a pattern of 1440 1,5 meter slots.

My mother in law is visiting so I'm walking down memory lane with my computer.

Working on two jobs (programming one and running the other) , and previewing the requirements for next weeks benchmark.
Looking forward, to kayaking, tomorrow! 😃

Haha, yes. When they visit, we hide 🙂

Its an assembly. The "ring of vanes" almost ended up beeing manufactured at your place. Cant remember why it isnt.. But it is an amazing and complex part, and Im very curious to see the result.

What game is that? The only "strategy games" I used to play is commando and total annihiliation.

Been busy all day between meetings and working on a couple programs and fixtures for two different CMM's.
I didn't think it was fun at all until I read about somebody spending some time with their mother-in-law, I'll pick work every time over that... 🤣

The pretty young girl who sits next to me went and got pregnant, good for her, i'm very happy.
As my boss was in the process of leaving for another job closer to his home town he set in motion a plan that I would learn her job and help cover her when she is off on maternity leave. I've tried my hardest to find my way out of this nightmare, final audit is a job suited to a certain kind of person, NOT ME.
so for the past month I've spent half of my day learning to read over thick ass packets of hand written numbers and inspection forms, looking for a number written in the wrong box. The past week I've spent my whole day 100% inspecting thousands of these stupid little plastic 'bushings'........
So yeah, everything's Great.

Pff, common knowlage, if you don't see a gun and a cross hair right infront of you, it's a strategy game. 😃
