[Cl...]
I thought I'd start here, before trying Zeiss support. Ok, this is a mini-plan, exporting results to Excel. When the status window states: "The sensor did not carry out the measurement with the expected measuring force. Possible causes: Scanning speed too high, or part form or position deviation greater than the given sensor deflection" When this happens (I'm told) the reports removes and adds dimensions. You can see that on one report, there are two #69's and no #104. The report with one #69 has #104? [Da...]
Are those characteristics lit up as purple in the characteristics tab? I have had times when the operators have left burrs or metal chips in bores that caused this, I have also had to adjust the length of an arc (start and end points, not the arc itself). The characteristics should show up on the end of the report, they won't have any data just that they did not check right.
[Cl...]
I was hoping someone could help out on this on again? Simply, the Characteristic spreadsheet is not being populated with any data at programs end.
[Mi...]
Please sign in to view this quote. This happens to me when parts are dirty, have burrs, etc. It also happens when there aren't enough points to calculate whatever feature you are trying to measure. If you have filters/outliers on, it's possible too much of your data is being eliminated. You may just need to take more points if that's the case. At times, I've just re-probed the feature and created a new characteristic as well so you have a few options. Good luck!
[Cl...]
The operator claims that he cleans and deburrs the part, but it still happens. Also, this just started happening. Nothing has changed in the program.
[SH...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hope you are working with RDS , RDS sensor deflection range is low compared to VASTXT. Are you tracing any curve??
[Ch...]
I get this sometimes but only on my XXT Duramax. Does anyone know exactly what Calypso does when it gets this error? Does it still use the measured data?
[Mi...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It happens to me randomly on Contura, Prismo, Duramax so I don't think it's machine-specific If you open the feature window, there will be data in the actuals. For some reason, it doesn't transfer to the characteristic. I listed my reasons above, hopefully someone will chime in with a definitive answer because I'd like to know too. [To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. On XXT sensors, the qualification is done using a given probe deflection. Standard is .150mm. Sensitive is .100mm and Robust is .200mm. So, if you're measuring a feature that is out of location or has bad form, the sensor detects that it was not able to maintain the given probe deflection while scanning along the surface. If this happens, you get that message. If Scanning Optimization is active (default is ON), then it will use whatever data it collected to re-position the scan path and re-scan at a slower speed. If you don't want it to re-scan, slow down the initial scanning speed to begin with. On planes, I typically see the message right after initial contact but since those points are usually masked, I'm guessing it is okay as I've never seen a plane re-measured. I normally see re-scanning with circles. I don't recall if other features will re-measure. You can turn Scanning Optimization off under Resources > Compatibility Settings.
