Curve Distance

Looking for some insight.

I'm trying to measure min & max material thickness, between two concentric curves (for the first time)
I'm using the Direct Distance (3d) evaluation.
I'm getting a Min of 2.24; a Max of 3.44; and an Avg of 2.31
Based on some down & dirty micrometer checks, I'm not expecting a thickness that is over 2.3mm.

If I check using Max Inscribed vs Max Circumscribed and vice versa, I get Min of 2.26 and a max of 2.28, which seems a little more realistic, but I'm looking for more of a direct measurement, than a calculated one that doesn't take the offset locations into consideration.

The nominal diameters are 50.63 OD; and 46mm, that are off position by .0.232 (2d polar)

**Update**
If I make the make the Curve from the OD the "Inner Curve", and the Curve from the ID the "Outer Curve", then the numbers make sense,,,, why??

Probably not practical for the actual inspection, but could you construct lines from the center of the circles to a specific outer curve point then ask for the intersect with the inner curve and check the length??? A few places along the feature would at least see if you're in the ball park...
