[Ha...]
Is there anyone else that has as many issues with PiWeb SBS as we have? It seems like the software will work with no issues for a couple weeks at a time, then out of nowhere completely stop working. We are only running a few jobs right now that are linked to PiWeb. However, after the parts run through the CMM, the data will either take excessively long to export or not at all. The last problem we had was due to the URL (which worked fine for the first few months) but stopped because the path was too long. Now, after resolving that issue last month we're essentially back with the same errors. In addition, when accessing PiWeb Monitor and attempting to save results, the Monitor seats will freeze as well and issue an error report. I hate being that guy, but for the amount of money Zeiss charges we should at least be able to trust the fact that the software is going to consistently work. Also ridiculous, Zeiss' SMA. We're already spending thousands of dollars to keep up with calibrations and hardware, but as soon as the SMA expires, no technical support? Seriously? I understand that there are always going to be new problems but this is a bit excessive. A couple more phone calls and I'm going to start developing personal relationships with every single Zeiss employee.ERROR MESSAGE.PNG
[La...]
Harrison, what version are you running?
[Er...]
Harrison, we have the same problem where piweb will generate the reports for a while, and then all of sudden give us an error report. Did you ever find a solution for this problem? We use version 6.8.08.
[La...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Eric, go to the portal and download 6.8.18. There have been many service packs issued for that version, and if you comb through the release notes you can see the bugs fixed. I used 6.8 extensively, but never a version that close to the initial release, and I rarely had issues. I'm using PiWeb almost all day, everyday.
