[Ke...]
I have been having intermittent problems with the Calypso software hanging up after completing all scans. It appears as though the features and characteristics have all been completed, and the PiWeb report displays on the screen. But the pointer slowly blinks and I can not open or close any of the Calypso windows. In the past, I was able to reboot and clear whatever problem was existing, but today I am not able to clear the issue. This is happening on several measurement programs. Any help would be appreciated.
[Jo...]
I've noticed after measurement is complete, it saves measurement points, exports excel file, and then takes forever to hand off to PiWeb. It don't think it's a ram issue, but it didn't take this long before.. It may take 1-2 minutes.
[Ro...]
Even though your computer probably came from Zeiss, your memory may be low. I would suggest checking your RAM and if its less than 16gig go have a talk with your IT guy. To check memory, click on the windows button in the bottom left corner of your screen and type RAM and hit enter

[Ro...]
Maybe if you switch to running from Characteristics, the cmm will be calculating as the program runs and not all at the end??? Watch out tho, if you have any complex moves between features you'll want to have your hand on the control speed knob for the first run thru.fdfdjhjhsfdsfdajh.JPG
[Ro...]
Also........ it doesn't work very often, but sometimes CTRL+Y works to get calypso to stop staring at the floor. If you just get a "system Error" box with 2 selections it didn't work, no matter how many times you hit CTRL+Y (you can fill your screen with system error boxes), but if you get a pop up diagnostic box then you can click on some of the items in the window and close them (just close the top 3 or 4 items, it won't hurt anything) and sometimes Calypso will start working again. It's a long shot.
[Ow...]
Are you reporting to a network printer or file? What version of Calypso are you running? If an older version, you could try reporting using the custom print-out or compact printout to avoid using PiWeb if that's causing problems. [Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Just an FYI, you can still use the Custom Printout or Compact Printout if you turn off Multiple Printout. 😃
[Ke...]
Roberto, thanks for your suggestions. I tried running from the Characteristics list and got the same result. I did try using the Ctrl-Y as you suggested, and this seemed to clear things up for me. I still had to re-boot my PC, but when I restarted my program, it performed as it should. Production is back up and running.
[Ro...]
Don't know if CTRL+Y helped, but glad production is up & running. I know it sucks when CMM's are the reason they are down, you just know Quality will be thrown under the bus in the end of shift emails.
