[Jo...]
Hi everyone, I need your help. I want to get these two values of one specified stylus system by PCM codes, any ideas for me? Thanks a million 😃
[Cl...]
A right click in this field shows that no PCM option available? So I'm not sure what you mean?
[No...]
He doesn't want to put a formula in these fields, but read their values with a PCM command. I think some "customized" code is your only chance here. I'm sure Eric will come around the corner with something shortly 😉
[Cl...]
Got it. I'm a PCM newbe.
[Cl...]
Just to satisfy my own curiosity, would this command come from CMM-specific functions and travel commands?

[Er...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Im not a free code writing service, and Im also in the middle of my summer vacation. I think Norbert has had to many weissbier. 😃 Not sure if this is of any direct help, but the info is atleast pushing you towards the right direction. How ever, this is off top of my head, so don't quote me. The instance is called posVorX and posNachX (Y or Z) (Actually, to be really accurate, Its stored as a vector named posVor/posNach) and its not a member of machineaccessor, I cant see any reason why you would think that. Maybe you dont understand how "class rape" work? Eg "baseSystem().machine" and there for got confused? 🙂 (And I dont say this in a negative way, just so all snowflakes out there don't get offended. Just trying to understand.) May I ask why you use baseSystem() as syntax? 👩🏫 Based on what I suspect, you cant "rape" this object. Because you need to pass the holder object as an argument. Since the instance "posVorY" is just that. An instance variable of the holder "object". A wild guess: Maybe you can get the info from the probe changer macro? I made sure to leave the laptop at work this summer. So I can't check. But I suspect runtime compiling is your only option, should be possible to "one line" with a block closure. But Im not going to show how to do that because I think its violating eula. And I cant see why this would be useful information to dynamically access anyway. [Jo...]
First of all, thank all of you for your ideas and help! The reason I want to get these values is one serious issue happens to me from time to time. Unpredictable Values changing!!! 😱 😱 😱 Before program running, I check and change the holder approach distance one by one, I am truely sure that the values are totally enough to change my stylus system. But when I run my programs to do stylus calibration or measurement, the values are changed automatically and unpredictably. The values are changed to be 50mm or 100mm,as a result my largely protruding stylus system is blocked by its holder or drops down. It is extremely weird! But this issue doesn't happen frequently. In my memory there are about 5 times in several years. I've asked so many engineers, but it is not solved yet. So I want to obtain the PCM codes to avoid the issue. My idea is to compare my stylus system and its holder approach distance. And if you have any better idea, plz teach me. 😃

But why I can't obtain the latest data even though I reopen my program.I have to restart my Calypso. Anyway we move forward so much 🤣 !
[Is...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Looks like this solution reads the values from the Database and this is updated when Calypso is restarted. Maybe there is another instruction to read the actual values but for the moment no idea.
