Default settings don't show up on features. Strategy works fine , but filter and outlier setting just don't show up. Using 2019

Default settings are on characteristic side of the program. I asked the same thing earlier this month. There is no way to have the defaults set up filter and outlier on features. you have to turn them on by hand in the features. Someone said that you could do it in features settings editor but I have not been able to make it work. Still trying that.

You have to select them from the features setting editor, and then click on the check box. See the attached screenshots.

Looks like format paint brush will be faster. Thanks for the answer. This should have been fixed years ago.

Most of my parts are just a few circles, roundness and Cylindricity. But, I do a lot of them. Would be nice to set up something automatic. 🙁 🙁

The thought process is that as long as you have filters, and outlier elimination applied from the Characteristic side you are covered. The only time that this isn't true is in the case of theoretical features, you have to apply the filters and outlier elimination either directly from the features or inside of the theoretical feature itself.

I personally apply my filters and outlier elimination from the feature side. If I need to change some evaluation setting that I characteristic dependent then I change it inside of the characteristic for that particular one.

It's just personal preferences; like I'm not a fan of default strategies.

Me neither, but, the parts we are programming are so simple and usually nearly the same size and configuration, that defaults actually make more sense.
