PiWeb TableProtocol Min/Max?

Hello,

We have operators bring parts in for first piece inspections in bulk from horizontal machining centers. We have AutoRun programs and programs that measure only one part at a time. We have our data exported to Excel for these multi-piece inspections, which we then compile into one sheet where it reports the min/max for each dimension from all the parts ran. Say piece #2 had the lowest measurement for dimension A and piece #7 had the highest, it then shows you that in the min/max calculated cells below each column of a dimension.

Long story short, I would like to add two columns into the TableProtocol report for picking out the minimum and maximum measurement for each dimension in the report. Is this something someone has already done, or knows how to get the TableProtocol to display the min/max measurements for say 10 measurements?

The only reason I need to do this is because when we upgrade to the latest PiWeb package, Excel reporting will no longer be available.

Thank you in advance,

It would be easiest to expand your measurement table next to Nominal, + Tol, - Tol and add 2 columns there than at the end. In the editor, open your report and expand the measurement table object.

Add two text boxes and connect them by right clicking > Variable > Statistics > Location values > Minimum and same for the next text box but Maximum.

I didn't take the time to make it pretty, but it works...

Laura,

Thank you for taking the time to post about this topic. I will get that added now and let you know how it goes.

Thanks,
Josh

When I was going through creating text boxes and adding the variable to each text box, I was having trouble getting the report to show each different dimension's min/max readings.

I think I found an easier way...

See the pictures I have attached, I think I explain it okay. If anyone needs more explanation, just let me know and I'll do my best.

For this example, could you find an overall min and max for each similar characteristic?

i.e. min and max values from diameter circle characteristic, considering 1, 2, and 3 to find which is the max and which is the min.
